Put the pot in a bucket of water, and fill so that water goes over the top
of the soil. The millipedes will crawl to the top, where you can remove
them. Repeat occasionally.
Alternate way - soak soil with diazinon. Nasty stuff, I prefer to avoid it,
but it works.
Middle road - use a diazinon bait. Keep out of reach of children and other
pets. (Except cats ;) )
