Generally, once you initially wet the peat it is easily rewettable. 
(is that a word?)  That is, as long as it doesn't overdry--sometimes if it
gets extremely dry (like you forget it for a few weeks) it'll be difficult
to rewet.  But, if you should experience some problems, a few drops of
mild soap should do the trick.
