I have recently rescued a Monstera, which is approx 5ft high. When I first
brought him home he was in a rather pathetic state, one not very straight
5ft stem with one large leaf every foot or so up the stem (ie, 5 leaves),
the aerial roots and the growing tip had been removed.
After about 4 weeks of TLC (a nice new pot and a good feed or two), he has
two new leaves about an inch from the top. What I would like to know is,
would it be possible to make the top bit into a new plant, possibly by
using moss (like when propagating a Rubber plant).
If anyone can help I would be very grateful, as I am a newbie gardener
(both indoors and out) and I would like to make him into the handsome plant
I know he can be.
Many thanks in advance
Jacky...
hopeless but eager!
