Patience, patience. :-) Amaryllis have their own timetable and I've never
been able to figure out what it is. Sometimes they will sprout in a week or
two and sometimes not for *months*. Water it once when you plant it and
then not again until you see some new growth or you may rot the bulb.
You know the old saying about a watched pot never boiling. Occupy yourself
with your other plants and these will do their thing in their own time.
