I have a smallish Homalomena Emerald Gem in my office, and I haven't been
able to find any information about this plant, either in my houseplant books
or online.
I've had it for about a month; it gets artificial light during the week in
my office, then I leave it out in the hallway by a window over the weekend.
It lost two leaves right after I got it (they turned yellow, I snipped them
off), and a few leaves have some small, round, brown spots. Otherwise it
seems to be doing okay -- a few new leaves, even. Fun to watch.
My question: Can anyone tell me anything about this plant? Should I put a
grow-light in my office? How about light requirements, water, humidity,
fertilizer needs, etc? Any info is appreciated. Thanks!
Heather
