Hi All,
My computer suffered major software problems this weekend - I think it may
be back to stay, but I have lost my address book and spell checker amongst
various other things... And, I've had no mail from the list since it went
down (Sat. am) - am I the only one not in hibernation?... Has everyone
else emigrated to warmer climes?
Anyway, while I was sat wondering what to do with my time, >g<, the
following sorta came into my brain. May I suggest that those of you who
have suffered similarly in the 'hands' of your computer, print it and pin
it up, then you can throw the offending chip, mouse, modem, floppy, or what
ever at it - I can guarantee that it is a great
stress reliever (nearly as good as a prowl round your plants), and a deal
cheaper
than chucking the whole machine out into the rain :-).
Oh! I think my computer is sentient,
On making life hard, it is hell bent.
It's just been upgraded,
And what has that made it?
A machine that is *NOT* heaven sent.
Oh! I think my computer is stub-born,
My patience is getting quite worn,
All that money I spent,
(I really must vent),
And the damned thing still won't perform.
Oh! This computer's as mad as a hatter,
Its disks seem all ready to shatter.
But I won't give up yet
- I am willing to bet
That I'll soon find out just what's the matter.
Oh! I think this computer's the pits,
It deserves to be lying in bits.
It's made me so mad
That its attitude's bad,
BUT, I will win this battle of wits.
