introduction

Hi,
My name is Tracy and I am really looking forward to chatting with all of you.
A little about myself, I have always loved plants inside and out, but these
days I only have time for the inside ones. Once upon a time my wonderful
husband Derek built me a small greenhouse off the back of the house, and I
went crazy buying any plant I could get my hands on because I had a
GREENHOUSE!! Well, pretty soon I was squished and I had to pick and choose my
favorites and find homes for the rest. I had all kinds, you name it I
probably had it. Well I gave away all that I could find homes for and
couldn't just throw the rest away. Someone suggested that I take my plants to
the local Farmers Market and sell them, so that's what I did. And 5 years
later I'm still selling my plants there. I met the nicest people and had a
lot of good times that I just keep going back. Now I have my favorites and
that is Hoyas, once again I went hog wild and am now up to about 198
varieties. I just seriously started collecting them last April. I also have a
few orchids, some phals, brassia, cats, oncidium on bark and a few more. I
just recently was sent a couple Hurenias, I think thats how you spell them.
I'm not a pro by any means, just learning as I go. Just the other night I was
bug spraying with a product from Amway called LOC (works good on mealies) and
it doesn't stink in fact it is fresh smelling, anyway I left the grow lights
on too long afterwards and burnt alot of my new growth. Ah, Ieft out one
part, you are probably thinking, grow lights in a greenhouse, well about 2
years ago we remodeled and the greenhouse was in the way of the new kitchen
so off it came and all of my plants went into the new garage that we had just
built, that has never seen a vehicle in it before and we put up grow lights.
Maybe next summer we will get a greenhouse up. I think I have passed the
point of brief message so I think I will quit for this time.
Happy growing, will chat with you later,
Tracy
