Hello Rosarians,
I thought I would give a little introduction to the mailing list. It
always helps to know a bit about those you are e-mailing to.
I am a 40 year old, new-comer to roses. I inherited 4 Blaze Climers with
the house after my last living parent passed on last year. When my wife
and I started our spring landscaping I decided I wanted to grow roses. So
far this year I have added 124 plants. HT, Floribunda, Grandiflora and
mostly Mini's. I am finishing up my research on greenhouses and will be
building/assembling one this fall for my hybridizing program. I want to
hybridize fragrant hardy mini's. I am an active member of the American
Rose Society, Rose Hybridizers Association and Muskogee Rose Society. I am
planning on attending my first National convention in Oct. in Shreveport
LA. I recently sold a 20 year computer business so I could start a small
scale rose nursery/wholesale business.
I am in the process of finishing up a web sitre to detail my hybridizing
program. Details will follow.
As I said before my main interest is in mini's but love ALL roses. I will
be of most help on topics of Mini/micro, HT, hybridizing, genetics, and
general how to. --
