Greetings to everyone!
I live in between zones 5 & 6 and I've given up on hybrid teas. The
humidity and heat are terrible and the teas don't do much for me here
without 24-hour care (it seems so, at least!). I am currently in love with
shrub roses. They are blooming as we speak with very little care from me
and are growing in leaps and bounds (especially 'Bonica').
Question: I would like a good, reputable source for more shrub roses. I
have relied in the past on a local nursery that stocks J&P roses. However,
this year they only featured teas (gasp!). Can somebody help me? Also,
for those who are in a similar zone, what shrubs are doing well for you?
Which ones are blooming year around? I am especially interested in what
are you planting with your roses to compliment them.
I look forward to some good info from the list as in the past. Thanks a
bunch!!
