I'm going to try plants that attract beneficial insects or repel nasty
ones, next year. A book I have, on Organic Rose Gardening, recommends
allium, catnip, thyme, artemesia, and alyssum, among others to repel
insects, and tansy, yarrow, coreopsis, gaillardia, and asters (among
others) to attract insects that eat the nasty ones.

On another note - strangely enough, most (but not all) of my hybrid teas
seem to do as well or better in my garden than my OGRs. I do have a
couple of grandifloras and floribundas, that also seem to do pretty
well.
