Re: aphid insecticidal soap revisited

As our resident horticulturist, may I beg more questions: how often is it safe
to apply the aphid "soup" and does it need reapplication after it rains? How
quickly is it
effective? Do you know the difference between the colors of the aphids - it
doesn't 
seem that they mimic their host colors as they're vastly different. 

I showered the aphids carefully and thoroughly yet they returned the next day
- same
color - I even rubbed them off while spraying and continued down the entire
plant.
