Okay, if you've made it this far and still don't hate me, let me explain
something. For starters, I'm not rich; I just have a big mouth and a talent
for convincing people that I know what I'm talking about, when, in fact, I
don't have a clue. A few years ago I became good friends with a small
nursery down the road from me. They hadn't really stocked roses before
because they didn't know that much about the "new" and "Olde" varieties;
just Hybrid Teas. I talked my way into their confidence and they let me do
the ordering. I found Hortico via a web search and I orderd my little
heart out. I'm repaid for my efforts with Roses. I also contribute
perennials to their nursery, so it's a "working" relationship. Anyway, the
order I did last year sold extremely well, so much so, that I'm doing it
again this year.

The point is that I did a similar order last year as the one above with
Hortico and the bushes were wonderful. I couldn't be happier. So I feel I
can safely endorse them.

Also, Hortico does carry some own root Roses, but most are on root stock.
I root cuttings of desired varieties for my own garden, wait 'til they're
established, then turn the parent stock over the nursery to do landscaping
with.

Of course, we would *never* attempt to root a cutting of a patented plant
because that would be _wrong_, wouldn't it, boys and girls?
