I moved roses last late spring into pots for the winter. I went to a
nursery (since I didn't know what I was doing either), they sold me some
stuff to spray on the plants about an hour before you dig them up. It
prevented them from wilting...and it worked. I also used a root
stimulater and a fertilizer about once every two weeks. I don't know if
they needed all that, but they lived and grew and had flowers while they
were in the pots. I guess I did something right!
