I do have 4 varieties of Clematis growing about the yard. I have
planted two of them to scramble up some small trees I have in a flower
bed I can see out my kitchen window. This year, they appear to be
filling out nicely.
As far as the ivy is concerned, in Utah it is easier to maintain,
probably because of a drier climate and cold winters. I have planted a
bit in my rock wall and they are filling in beautifully. I am also
going to let one batch climb the side of the house, because I love that
overgrown look. I figure, heck maybe it will be good insulation!!! I
know how men are about these things, they really don't like growth on
the house!!
Quick question, what about growing roses in containers? I was thinking
about doing this with "new stock" and transplanting to the beds in the
fall. Does this work?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.
