I put in a couple of each type of lavendar I can find--obviously, I take
a bit after my aunt when it comes to the "jumble" look. There's a big
bed of it, now; it takes care of garden fragrance when the roses are
flagging.
I also have rosemary growing amongst the hedge roses. I'm going to try
basil in a bare spot that's too small for another rose (can't think how
that happened) and too big to let go.
