Blanc Double is a rugosa, pure whate, very beautiful, and will tolerate a
little shade.
Your bed sounds like a "mixed border" to me, neither rose bed nor perennial
bed. My kinda gardening!

For mine is a little old fashioned garden where the flowers come
together to praise the Lord and teach all who look upon them to do
likewise.
