Hi John. Are the new stems of your pink rugosa purplish? It may be Therese
Bugnet. She's usually one of the first to bloom for me, too. Kind of a
ruffled, semi-double perfect pink?
I have another suggestion for you; I know not everyone is into the "details"
but I keep really rough (I am a deplorable 'artist') "maps" or "graphs" of
my beds that I update yearly as things die or get moved. Perhaps if you
started those with your roses, etc., Peter Rabbit moving your tags about
wouldn't be so aggravating! I guess he thinks their Easter eggs and keeps
hiding them from you?!

For mine is a little old fashioned garden where the flowers come
together to praise the Lord and teach all who look upon them to do
likewise.
