They probably would not be blooming together in most years. This year is
weird that the lilacs are still hanging on.

I would not recommend it for an arbor, by it's growth habit. It is
technically a "climber," but mine is fairly stiff. It is training atop the
4' chain link fence okay, but it wouldn't want to "wind" around an around
well. It really is more like a tall shrub that just needs a little support!
Doesn't the ''Dr." have yellow stamens?
I can't remember. I do remember goldish roses were what I thought to put
with it.
