RE: Cane Borers

Joyce,

Not all dieback is Cane borers. But hollow canes and dieback general
is. It's my understanding that getting Cane borers is just the "luck
of the draw".

Dieback can be caused by: summers that are too hot, salts in soil,
fertilizers that are too hot, sprays used on roses, even that nasty
rose killing disease from Texas that mites carry. [I'm sure this list
can be added upon.]

Do you have other symptoms ?
Or do any of these sound like a possible cause ?

Sincerely,
