Yes, I have, Joanie. Most of the babes have survived winter. As I explained
in a message yesterday, I water them real good up to the first hard freeze
and cover them well with a mound of soil and leaves.

It's interesting being on the line of zones 4 and 5. I'm able to try some
plants that aren't normally hardy in zone 4. Even though we're a bit too far
north for some plants, there are some that will survive with extra care and
if they're planted in a sheltered area such as next to a house foundation.

We had our first snow today. Big globs of fluffy flakes. None stayed on the
warm ground, but streets were slushy this morning. It was a good warning
that winter isn't too far away.
