Joanie,
Mme. Plantier would be a good specimen shrub. Carleen described it
beautifully. It has nice foliage and graceful canes, not at all like
the stiff, angular rugosa canes. It grows easily in my northern
Illinois garden. As Carleen said, it starts easily from cuttings. I
have an extra potted plant from cuttings I stuck a few years ago.
