Flow Cytometry for chromosome counts.


Dear Ben,

That is a relief. Flow Cytometry would be a better method for getting
chromosome counts sooner rather than waiting for several years for certain
species to reach flowering size. It would be much quicker and easier to get
chromosome counts from the vegetative material.

It is good to hear that others have better luck getting the paniculate
species to bloom and maybe they can send you the flower bud you need for
chromosome counts.
