We could always wait for a thunderstorm and jolt it back to life. i will go
to the cemetery and see if I cannot dig up a fresh heart.

what i don't understand is why lists seem to go through these stages at
all, rather like a marriage. and usually they recover after some huffing
and slamming of doors. people leave, and then re-up. Many lists do this
over time.

In these regards, i have gotten private snot mail from people who suddenly
realized that our list is a wretched forum for nothing but arguing, for
which THEY have little time. ignoring the two years of archived technical
material which I have as a resource for information. with hardy a sneer or
slap. almost as if they had been waiting for a reason to leave. and THIS
WAS THE FINAL STRAW. and this was EVIL mail. from folks who had misplaced
their unsub information and expected me to give up my life, cancel my
invitations to parties and riding to hounds to service them. to let them
out of this dump. I found that very distasteful. like picking up soiled
underwear of unloved strangers.

it is also the day before Bastille day! we could all stand up and sing
"Allons, enfants de la patrie, le jour do gloire est arrive!"

just like in CASABLANCA!
