Hi all.
I wonder if any of you have made your own list from
experiences of best growing conditions, or how we can create such a list
together.
I am thinking both of placing plants in much or less
light or shadow and of those who demands special warm conditions or
accepts less varm rooms.
T.ex. I had my Grandis placed in a sunny windowssill until I
read somewhere that Grandis prefers shadow. I mowed the plant to less light, and
it now seems to develope much better.
Of course I know that many sansevierias as a general quality
tolerates or can adapt to a broad specter of different conditions, but some are
more sensitive, and what conditions can we list up as the best,
from our personal different experiences or knowledge.
I think of descriptions like:
Tolerates full sun.
Prefers a light place.
Prefers less light.
Prefers shadow.
Tolerates shadow.
Or anything else, what can be useful
information.
Such a list with short informations would be a great help and
avoid mistakes to us, who don't want to loose as much as a single leaf cut, and
only have a little and very general litterature avaiable.
(Thank you to all for the help with the N.E.Brown 1915
monograph. I have ordered it by Rainbow Garden)
Any good ideas how to do it!
Cheers
Ove
