Re: [SANS] Off on holiday

John,
There is a beautiful rare species called S. zanzibarica, with leaves like
ehrenbergii but shorter and a climbing habit like arborescens. Its a slow
grower and intolerant of cold. I also seem to recall some very nice aloes
native to Zanzibar.

Ps. Looking in Reynolds' Aloes of East Africa and Madagascar, I could only
find reference to A. volkensii from the N.E. corner of the island. A.
zanzabarica was misnamed as it wasn't found on the island, just sent from
there by the original collector.

Subject: [SANS] Off on holiday

Hi all well I have done it again and booked up off to somewhere
different and exotic this time Zanzibar for eight days and 7 days
Kenya coast, will be doing some big game deep sea fishing and Diving.
Well as I will be on Zanzibar island I was wondering if there are
any Sansevieria on the Island should be fun looking if nothing else.
One big problem I'll have to wait till November.
