Re: [SANS] Vincent Price, Norma Lewis & Kirk Pamper

Hello Al--

I had the distinct pleasure of meeting Norma last weekend at the San Gabriel
show.  What a delightful little pixie she is!!  Upon meeting me, she
immediately reached up (she's 4'11", I'm 6'4") and hugged me tight as though I
were a long, lost child.  I truly believe that she's never met a stranger.  We
enjoyed the show and then went over to her house, where she eagerly showed off
her extensive collection to appreciative eyes.  She reminds me of a
hummingbird...constant activity, never resting, diminutive, and full of
energy.  She's twice my age and has twice my energy!

We admired her Sansevierias (among other succulents) and she loaded me up with
pups and cuttings.  And yes, I saw the notorious Vincent Price plant.

I helped Norma I.D. some of her plants, and we passed a very pleasant
afternoon.  I'll be sending her a box of pups when I get back home to Memphis,
and I'm really happy about having a new "old friend" in Los Angeles.  All of
you should meet her.
