That's not a no, no, that's a 'Calway', which is the way that works for Cal!
I must confess I sometimes space my tomatoes farther apart than
recommended - confession is good for the SQFT's soul. But it allows me to
grow my beloved wildflowers in the extra space.
The end result is good food and good looks.
