A heavy producer of very good tasting tomatoes is Burbank. Anna Russian 
hasn't done well for me (I'm in SW Idaho).  My favorites are Pruden's 
Purple, the red Brandywine, Opalka paste, Druzba (lovely fruit, too), 
Tappy's Finest and some others. The red Brandywine is not the same as the 
regular Brandywine (that one's dark pink). If you're canning tomatoes, 
beware of the black tomatoes, because they just look like there's something 
rotten in the jars.  I must say that Black Krim is outstanding eaten fresh, 
though.  Look for OP tomato seeds at www.heirloomtomatoes.net .  Margaret L
