I love peppers!!! I grow a dozen or so different varieties a year. I have
never tried direct seeding but I would bet it wouldn't work as well as toms
because most peppers are more dependant on soil temps. They need warm soil
to germinate and flourish so you would have to wait later to direct seed
then with the toms.
