I grew Early Girl in 1999. I didn't make any notes on the taste. They must
have been pretty good since I used them to can several batches of salsa. My
niece and nephew were not big tomato eater and they loved them. Prolific and
produced all season (NY zone 5). The green tomatoes went to chutney. In an
early journal entry I did note that several leaves on all the Early Girls
curled and yellowed a few days after the first flowers appeared. The only
other "problem" I noted was lots of flowers and no fruit setting. I gave the
plants a shake and all was right in the world.
