The great tomatoe debate is really influence by what you want the
tomatoes for- canning or fresh eating.
Where I am Early Girl is hands down the best selling tomatoe plant. I've
heard this from everyone I have asked from the nurseries to small
greenhouse operations. But....in asking more questions the people who
love them the most use them for canning. They rave about the perfect
size, productivity, splendid acidity level. For fresh eating I find
them bland. Then there are people who prefer a "mild" tomatoe where I'm
looking for that burst of flavor.
