Here's a thought...If I remember correctly, you have a pretty large
garden...is it a raised bed?? I've been planning on using a plank across
the corners to reach around my belly to my babies.  what if you built a
a scaffold type set-up that you could put the melons on?  I'll try to
clarify if that's too fuzzy.
