Re: Spacing for pole beans?


Judy,
If I understand the book correctly the trellis should run through the
center of the squares not at the back of it, this way you are able to
plant pole beans on either side of the trellis.

I don't quite understand how the spacing for pole beans works in MB's
book, p. 268.  Does that 'inside' row just get pulled back onto the
trellis?  ie, I'm planning to have only one trellis along the back of
my sqft planter.  It will run over some sqft's for tomates, cukes,
pole beans, etc.  So with 2 'rows' of bean plants, do they still use
the same trellis?  Thanks, Judy
