Hello to all of you out there. I've been lurking quietly for the last couple weeks, but I've finally come up with a question. My boyfriend is a photographer, and he acquired a bunch (3 flats) of pansies for one of his shoots. Well, needless to say, being the one he calls "plant nuts," I ended up with as many of them as I wanted. Now, I live in an apartment with a patio that's smaller than my bedroom, and while what I do maybe isn't square foot gardening, it surely is small space gardening, so I thought you all out there on the list... maybe... I've looked through all my plant books, and while I know some violets out there are edible, I'm not sure if: a. Pansies are part of the violet family and b. Pansies are or are not edible. c. And, if they are edible, how would one go about preparing them?
