Hello everyone,
Well I started about 25 tomato plants indoors this year (my first time
gardening) and I'm pleased to announce that 20 plants have survived and
thrived. Anyway out of the 20 left 2 were the Burpee's Fourth of July
variety. Both of these plants have 2 buds each forming without ever being
outside, yet. Is this common or uncommon? I was under the impression that
fluorescent lights did not provide the proper bandwidth of light for
blooms? Any info is appreciated. Also I'd be interested in knowing who
else is trying the 4th of July by Burpee.
Another Burpee tomato I have is Tiny Tim variety, and on the package the
information mentions indoor growing. Has anyone successfully grown cherry
tomatoes (I think Tiny Tim is cherry variety) indoors?
I'll be placing the majority of my plants out on the 10th of April, in 3
raised beds using the sqft method of course....
Thanks for information...
