rotation worm beds

This may work for the bark and earthworm problem, too. Rabbit raisers tend
to build up a worm bed beneath the rabbit hutches and they need to be
rotated every once in awhile to distribute the compost they made, split up
the worm population, etc.
What they do is pull a tarp out to the sun and load the manure and dirt onto
it. The worms will try to get away from the sunlight, and the top layer can
be rolled back to reveal huge worm colonies. Which, then can be scooped up
and placed wherever you need to start another one.
If you don't have a truckload of bark to distribute, this may be a solution
to how to move the worms out of the bark mulch... or am I reading the post
wrong?
