Re: compost alternative


Composted cow manure is a fine alternative. As for peat moss, it helps the
soil become more workable....but it is nutrient poor and in quantity can
shift the soil to a more acidic ph. In many larger cities compost is
readily available, so look around you may have a source closer than you
think.
