Odd Plants

I got a squash flower yesterday that had the seeds of the fruit inside the
flower, where the stamens usually are! In hopes that it is a viable sport,
I heavily pollinated the cluster (lookes like a golf ball made of squash
seeds), but have only faint hopes that the stamens were reached.
They might be inside the fruit....
Anyone every see this sort of thing?
