RE: Pearlite in raised beds

I agree with this, with the addition that mulch, and lots of it, will help
greatly. Here in Florida, where we are having a drought, my four inches of
mulch (leaves, grass clippings and compost) has changed my watering
frequency from twice a day to once every two or three days. Very dramatic.
