Champion variety tomato

Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html

My One (!) tomato plant is growing and already blooming! I planted
it April 1, it was about 8" tall. Is anyone familiar with the 'Champion'
variety? The little stake-tag says that it will bear tomatoes large enough
for a single slice to cover a piece of bread. Last year I had an 'Early
Girl' that spread out all over the plot, totally demolishing the inadequade
'tomato frame'. Will this one do that too? Advice on pruning would be
helpful if this one spreads too.
I have also planted a bush type cucumber that is supposed to be
'burpless'. I hope it IS a bush, and burpless!
My illnesses keep me out of the sun and allow me to only care for a few
plants, but I am so interested & entertained by all the posts and variety of
approaches to gardening.
Thanks to all for being here and sharing ;-)
