Re: Looking for out of the ordinary vegetable suggestions

RE: asparagus pea, I have grown 'asparagus bean' for several years.
They are 2-2.5' long (yes, feet), but are not really good steamed
or boiled. In stir-fry they are excellent, as well as blanched/
frozen and used in winter stews. A very nutty taste that way.

How about "pear tomatoes"? They are little, odd shaped, yellow
ones that fruit early and prolifically, like cherry tomatoes.
Less acidic, however.
Also, Shepards seeds has a large selection of more unusual
vegetables.
