I realize that some of you have been spared by the weather of
having to toil in the garden, but here in south Louisiana, it is just
another lousy job that never sees an end. (heh. heh. heh). Anyway, I
have a question. It's time to plant garlic. I understand that it is a
heavy feeder. What does that mean? My soil (raised bed) is about 1/3
compost. Do I need to go with an additional fertilizer? If so, what
composition? Also, any suggestions on spacing? Happy Holidays.
