Is this the same as the barrel method I have heard of? In the barrel
method, you start the plants in a barrel half-filled with compost or
soil, then keep adding soil as the plant grows, until the barrel is
full. Supposedly you get spuds all through the root system this way, for
very high yields.
This is an old european gardening technique. Anyone have details?
