Most  plants in actuality seem to like a pH of around 6.5, they might
have a preference for one way or the other, but not so much as it is a
problem. We haven't even tested our plots  for the last couple of years.

We have also used pressure treated wood. But there may be potential
problems with some of the chemicals in the preservative (typically,
chrome, arsenic) leaching into the soil - the evidence isn't good for
this though IMO - a Deja.com search on some of the gardening groups will
turn up plenty of debate.
Of course if there are problems you might not find out for a long while.

Well we aren't really but there are a few about. Colin Shaw has an
Organic gardening website that has a bit on his experiences with sqfting
as well.
