*I tore a couple 4" pieces off one with a nice fushia day-glow color.
I submerged them in a cup of water after having them in my shirt pocket an
hour or more. Stuck the, sans most leaf, in a 1/3 cup of water covered loosly
with a ziplock bag over the cup. I probably have a good chance.
My guess is hope they are below the frost line, root-wise. Cover with hay for
maybe 6". I've lived in Sheridan and Little Big Horn. Gets darn cool.
Cuttings root easily as anything I've found! Bring some in in case you lose
all, as several 6"-9" cuttings in a pot, to make several plants come spring.
Can you do this? I'd bury 6" of the stem, a 1/4-1/2" size. Remove leaves or
all big ones.
