Mike, welcome to the list. You'll like it, I'll bet.
As for companion planting, there are a few books on the subject. The three
books I have are:
Louise Riotte's "Carrots Love Tomatoes" (not as good as the following two)"
"Great Garden Companions" by Sally Jean Cunningham (published by Rodale), and
Rodale's "Companion Planting." Both of these last two look much more
in-depth and helpful than Riotte's.
