So everybody says to mulch the garden. But they also say to keep your
garden beautiful and close to the house so you won't neglect it. And then
Mel recommends used carpet. Not my idea of beautiful.

Any recommended mulches for my vegetable garden that are beautiful too?

Just after I wrote this my husband brought in a flyer that was on the door
from the local boy scouts offering to sell "3 cubic foot bags of shredded
hardwook bark mulch" at $3.85 per bag.
