Square Foot Gardening List - http://www.flinet.com/~gallus/sqft.html
Okay, here is my dilemma. We are building a new house which won't be done
until mid-May or early-June. We are doing the finish landscaping ourselves
after the house is built (leveling yard and seeding the grass). So I'm
thinking.....big mudpit for awhile.
I was going to just forgo even doing a garden this year because of this
upcoming move and wait until next year or maybe start some things REALLY
late (like mid-June) and just see how they do. But alas, with warmer
weather the last week, I've been bitten by the bug and I would really like
to start some things at the normal time. Question is this -- If I do
everything in containers so I can move them later, would I be able to
transplant those plants to a garden at the new place or should they be left
in containers? I realize they will be much more mature than the usual
"transplant when there are true leaves" and didn't know how they would
sustain transplant shock. I'm only thinking of doing maybe a couple each
of tomato, pepper, and onion plants. Also thought of maybe a cuke and
squash plant.
Any comments or other ideas so I don't sit and drool on my keyboard for the
next three months watching all of your guys' posts?????????????????
TIA, Kristine
