I've heard that the variety Green Zebra tastes very good. I saw the
seeds for these in several garden catalogs, including Sheperds Seeds.

Which variety was it? (And congratulations!)
Be happy that you've other gardeners around you. Everyone in my cul-de-sac
doesn't like to garden. One lady in fact told me, "Why don't you just rip out
all
those plants and put concrete in?" She is a lost cause I'm afraid.

I wouldn't put tobacco from cigarettes in your compost pile as the
tobacco is not "pure" tobacco. They add a bunch of chemicals to
cigarettes. Safer not to add them. Also dryer lint is okay to add
(although there is debate over this), but make sure its natural fiber
dryer lint. Polyesters etc. won't decompose I've heard. Any paper
products is fine, except for those that have a glossy finish to them.
Do you compost newspapers too?

Just curious. What is this above about dead speaking?
