Are there an over aboundance of them around? If so, I would vote for C. It would mean more work in the long run (replacing logs as they rot out). But think of the neat insects you might attract to help out. Maybe a combo of river rocks on the bottom, with a few layers of logs with gardening rebar for reiforcement?
